The Exploratorium is not only a physics site, but also the site of the famous museum in San Francisco. Filled with information on a variety of topics, including physics, the Exploratorium presents its information in a "hands-on" interactive manner that is a joy to surf through.

The Exploratorium has much of its own interactive content, along with important educational descriptions of the processes that occur in the exhibits. It also boasts links to its "Top 10" sites for various educational subject areas.

The site has a very clean and fast-loading design that is elegant and contemporary. The different segments all use the same general navigation scheme, creating a consistent professional look across the site.

Navigation is easy with top and left navigational aids and a consistent look throughout the site.

The Exploratorium excels in interactivity, boasting many online interactive shockwave "exhibits." Utilizing the Shockwave plug-in, the Exploratorium has created approximately 20 such exhibits. They are innovative, entertaining and educational.

The Exploratorium doesn't have any publicly accessible community features. It does have a small private community for its summer Teacher's Institute attendees.
