Premise

This site, dominik.net/physics, strives to provide an interactive physics web site directory. As outlined on the main page, this directory is a combination of site reviews and user opinions. This union creates a balance and a sense of online community that is important to maintain in web sites.

Goals

• Provide access to physics-related web sites
• Categorize & review those websites
• Allow the visitor to find a site that he or she needs, based on criteria that he or she has
• Operate on the "less is more" principle with respect to site design (Simplicity is inherently tasteful)
• Operate on the "quality is better than quantity" principle with respect to site selections
• Allow visitors to submit sites that they feel are worthy of inclusion in the directory
• Allow visitors to share site experiences and thoughts on particular sites inline with reviews on those sites

History

I built this web site on the suggestion of my physics instructor, Mr. Sinclair at the Kalamazoo Area Mathematics & Science Center. He proposed that I research "Internet Physics" -- and what better way to catalogue and analyze websites than on the Internet itself? And so, out of a love of physics and the 'net, dominik.net/physics was born.
