Calculus of Love

Your peace floods over me
I am lifted away upon a wave
An onrush of calm enfolds me
I fear nothing, i have no troubles

the shadows that had beset me
Have fallen away
The darkness around me
Has lifted away

A shining light surrounds me
A father's warm embrace holds me
A firm trust rests within me
A candle has been lit inside me

I look at the world
With newly made eyes
As i see your people
I see them in a new light

My sight has changed
I no longer judge or weigh them
upon the scales of my thought
Instead i see with a grain oif wisdom

I look at the world
Through a calculus of love
where there is hatred, let there be love
Against despair let me rally hope

The shadows that once gathered around me
Seething with turmoil and hatred
They flee from me now
thus does your light burn them

Billions of beings upon a rock
Floating within the cold cosmos
Merely 4 degrees warmer
Than absolute zero

And each man woman and child
A life led, an intricate tapestry
Woven by their choices
Their path of destiny
